  • 5-6 lb bone-in turkey breast
  • 2 cups chicken broth

Smoked Turkey Seasoning

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup buttered
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups turkey drippings or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Smoked Bone in Turkey Breast

  • Prepare your smoker and preheat it to 250 degrees.
  • Combine all the "Smoked Turkey Breast Seasoning" ingredients in a small bowl. Mix it well.
  • Get your turkey and rub the seasoning mixture inside the turkey breast. Try to gently lift up the skin of the turkey and rub it under the skin and on the top of the skin. Rub the entire part of the turkey and make sure to not miss any part under and outside the skin.
  • Put the turkey in a disposable roasting pan.
  • Fill the bottom of the pan with the chicken broth. Place the pan in the preheated smoker.
  • Cook it for about 4 hours. But during the last hour of smoking, baste the turkey every 30 minutes. When the internal temperature of the turkey breast reached 160 degrees Fahrenheit, it's already cooked.
  • After removing it from the smoker, grab some aluminum foil and tent your turkey and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  • You can now proceed to carving. Then it's ready to serve!

  • Using a saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
  • Sprinkle the black pepper and slowly add the flour. Whisk continuously until you make the mixture smooth.
  • Pour the 2 cups of turkey drippings or chicken broth in the saucepan and cook for several minutes. Do not stop whisking until it thickens up.
  • Serve and enjoy!
