How To Make Grilled Frozen Burgers

Step 1: Preheat Your Grill

To prepare grilled frozen burgers the most important step is preheating your grill to 350ºF/176ºC to ensure it’s ready for your frozen burgers. Ensuring the temperature is stable and ready before you add your burgers will create an even cook throughout the burgers.

Step 2: Grill Frozen Burgers

Place your frozen burger patties onto the grill, ensuring a space of around 1″ between each patty. This allows all sides to be grilled evenly for a thorough cook.

Step 3: Apply Seasoning

Once the beef has mostly defrosted on the grill, remove your burgers from the grill and apply your seasoning. We recommend combining paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground cayenne pepper. Liberally patting on the seasoning to the outsides of the burger is key, whilst being careful not to burn yourself as they may still be hot!

Step 4: Grill Again & Prepare Toppings

Return your burger patties to the grill once they’re thoroughly seasoned and leave them to cook.

Prepare your toppings whilst you’re waiting for the burgers to cook. We recommend classic toppings such as cheese slices, iceberg lettuce (sliced with sharp knife into patty-sized pieces and layered on top of the burger), tomato slices, and condiments such as ketchup and relish.

The toppings you use are entirely up to you, however. If you’re looking to experiment, some other options can include blue cheese and bacon, pineapple, nacho cheese Doritos, or even Smoked Mac & Cheese for the food buffs.

Step 5: Flip Burgers

Regularly flip your burgers every 5 or so minutes to ensure even cooking on all sides.

Step 6: Add Cheese Slices (Optional)

If you’re opting to add cheese slices to your burgers, do it while the burgers are still on the grill to get that melty texture that is synonymous with good quality cheeseburgers. We typically recommend doing this step once an internal temperature of 160ºF/70ºC has been reached.

If you don’t want to add cheese, skip this.

Step 7: Serve!

Once you’re happy with the internal temperature of your burgers, remove grilled frozen burgers from the heat and serve them alongside your chosen toppings!

The Perfect Sides for Grilled Frozen Burgers

We recommend serving homemade fries, Smoked Potato Bombs, Ceasar salad or Smoked Sweet Potatoes alongside your grilled frozen burgers for a wholesome classic meal.
