Pork Chops Rub

This flavorful rub is an important recipe for your good piece of pork chops! This will give you a strong but delicious blend of herbs and spices.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Funnel (optional – if storing)
  • Airtight Container (optional – if storing)
  • Anti-Moisture Silica Packet (optional – if storing)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp ground mustard
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the rub.
  • Stir the mixture until all the spices are evenly mixed.
  • Take your pork chops and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of the pork chops. Make sure to rub it in evenly.
  • Place the pork chops in the refrigerator and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  • Place the pork on the grill and cook until the internal temperature reaches 195°F.
  • Store any unused smoked pork rub in an airtight container.
