Helpful Tips and Notes

What kind of nuts work best?

Use your favorite mix — cashews, pecans, almonds, peanuts, or walnuts. A mix with cashews is extra rich and satisfying.

How spicy is this?

The cayenne adds a kick, but it’s balanced by the brown sugar. Want more heat? Add extra cayenne or a pinch of chili flakes.

Storage Tips

Once cooled, store your smoked nuts in an airtight container in the fridge. They’ll stay fresh for up to a month — perfect for snacking or gifting.

Can I use different seasonings?

Absolutely. Swap in your favorite BBQ rub, or try smoked paprika, garlic powder, or a touch of cinnamon for a twist.
