Ingredients
- 4 Ribeyes (¾” thick cut)
- ½ cup Yonedas White Seasoning
- ½ cup Yonedas Gold Seasoning
- 2 Red or Yellow Bell Peppers
- 1 Sweet Onion
- ¼ cup Cornhusker Kitchen Duck Fat Spray
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 6 Hot Dog Buns
- ¼ cup Mayonnaise
Instructions
1. Preparation
- Preheat the Napoleon’s TravelQ™ PRO285 Portable Propane Gas Grill or any similar grill to 400°F.
- Season the steaks with Yonedas White and then Yonedas Gold. Let them rest for 20 minutes to let the seasoning soak in.
- Thinly slice the bell peppers and onion. Toss them with Yonedas White and duck fat spray in a foil pan.
- Place the foil pan with vegetables on the BBQ to soften (around 20 minutes).
2. Cooking the Steaks
- Place the steaks on the BBQ and grill them to an internal temperature of 130°F for medium.
(Adjust for desired doneness.) - Once cooked, pull the steaks off and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.
3. Toasting the Buns
- Place the buns on the grill face down until they get slightly toasted.
- When you see color, flip the buns, sprinkle a handful of mozzarella cheese on top of each, and add a scoop of the peppers and onions.
- Place thinly sliced steak on top of the vegetables, then let the buns toast until the cheese melts.
4. Serving the Philly Cheesesteaks
- Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the buns.
- Serve the cheesesteaks hot, topped with the cheesy steak, peppers, and onions.
