- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp coarse salt (or kosher salt)
- 2 tbsp granulated garlic powder
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
In a small mixing bowl, combine 3 tbsp of brown sugar, 2 tbsp of sea salt, 2 tbsp of garlic powder, 2 tbsp of smoked paprika, 1 tbsp of onion powder, 1 tbsp of black pepper, 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, and 1 tsp of cumin.
Mix the ingredients well to create your brisket rub.
Apply the brisket rub generously to the surface of your brisket, making sure to massage it into all the nooks and crannies of the meat.
Store any unused smoked brisket rub in an airtight container.
